Big Weekend










This past weekend, Dave and I left our baby for the first time to celebrate our 6th Anniversary in Walla Walla with a little wine tasting. Cora enjoyed a weekend with Grandma TT and Grandy but they were definitely exhausted by the time we picked her up on Sunday evening. It was beautiful on Saturday so they headed out to a local farm for some fun and photo opps.
Dave and I survived a weekend away and had a great time, though we missed our little girl like crazy. Cora wouldn't even look at me for the first 15 minutes after we got back but eventually giggled and came over to snuggle with her "Mama." Dave has been away from her for long stretches before but I don't think she and I had been apart longer than 12 hours. Hard to believe but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hey Lindsay! Happy 6 year anniversary to you and Dave! Glad you were able to go celebrate!!

I'm the same way with Eli... I hate to leave him for very long. Although I have left him with his daddy overnight for about 2 days (and they were long days)!

Manzanita and more...

Since my last post, a lot has happened in our household.  We took our first camping trip of the year to Silver Falls State Park and survived!  Cora even got to try smores for the first time.   Edie turned 1 on June 4th and just a few weeks before took her first ambulance rider to the ER due to an infection - ugh!  She's fine now...thankfully. We figure it's our first of many trips to the ER with two very busy little girls.  (On a side note, Cora thought riding in the ambulance was really fun!) I came down with a ridiculous case of Poison Oak that was awful for about three weeks and continues to haunt me.  It seems I'm quite allergic!  Thankfully, no one else got it.  Dave drove himself to the ER in the middle of the night for an emergency appendicectomy that ended up being (and still is) more complicated than normal because of the scar tissue left in his stomach from the car accident.  That was a few weeks ago and his...
