The Adventures of Dave, Lindsay, Cora and Edie

After Dave flew home, Grandma TT flew down so we could head to Palm Desert for a girl's weekend. It was very relaxing! We went for walks, swam, went to the outdoor markets and had fun with just the girls. Thankfully, Grandma TT had lots of energy to entertain Cora so I could relax a bit. A much needed vacation!

Just back from a great trip to California. We started with a few days in Los Angeles meeting Cora's new cousin, Eli, and visiting Aunt Amy and Uncle Matt. Eli is absolutely adorable and Cora loved kissing and holding him. While we were there, we did an Easter Egg hunt (thanks to Aunt Amy), headed to the beach in Malibu, explored Pasadena where were staying, enjoyed a quick visit with Papa Steve and Grandma Tanna and spent a morning at Griffith Park and the Observatory. It was great to get a little sun after a rainy winter and spring in Portland. Our last vacation as a family of three because baby #2 is due to arrive in less than six weeks....

This past weekend, two of my girlfriends visited with their families. Cora had a blast running around with all the boys and learning all sorts of new tricks. In other news, my brother, Matt, and his wife, Amy, welcomed their beautiful son, Eli, into the world yesterday morning. We are so excited to head down to California in a few weeks to introduce Cora to her new cousin. He's a total hunk!

While Dave was busy studying for finals, Cora and I decided to get out in the rain for the annual Shamrock Run (or in our case, WALK). 30,000 people participated in this event wearing all sorts of crazy outfits. A very Portland event, indeed! We survived but were completely soaked when it was all over. Cora was a rock star and actually slept most of the race, thankfully. She's a true Oregon girl because the rain didn't even phase her....but maybe that was because I was giving her special treats like gummy bears all morning!

Last weekend, we headed out of town for a great weekend with friends. It started with a perfect afternoon on the beach in Hood River where Cora hooked up with some "big kids" who had built a tee pee out of driftwood and Peeka ran around chasing waves like the happiest dog on the planet. Then we headed up to Trout Lake, WA for some snowshoeing. Yes, my daughter has a mullet that we just don't have the heart to cut and my husband currently has a strange mustache. What can I say? Last night, Dave and I went to a friend's wedding in Portland and I got to see lots of old college friends. Big night out! As you can see, at 25 weeks pregnant, I'm getting bigger by the minute. Needless to say, we did not do our typical wedding protocol of dancing all night.

For Dave's birthday weekend, we rented a cabin near Mt. Hood with the Swain Family. Even though there was barely any snow, we had a great time and took our little snow bunnies to Timberline Lodge to play. It was Cora's first time in the snow and she seemed to love it, though not as much as her little buddy, Rylan!
