Last weekend, we headed out of town for a great weekend with friends. It started with a perfect afternoon on the beach in Hood River where Cora hooked up with some "big kids" who had built a tee pee out of driftwood and Peeka ran around chasing waves like the happiest dog on the planet. Then we headed up to Trout Lake, WA for some snowshoeing. Yes, my daughter has a mullet that we just don't have the heart to cut and my husband currently has a strange mustache. What can I say?
Last night, Dave and I went to a friend's wedding in Portland and I got to see lots of old college friends. Big night out! As you can see, at 25 weeks pregnant, I'm getting bigger by the minute. Needless to say, we did not do our typical wedding protocol of dancing all night.

How funny-I just looked at the other comment on your blog...about you being PREGNANT again!! How exciting :) I'm glad you put a preggo picture on there-you look great! I'm excited to see who you will be adding this summer!! :)Congrats!!

Linds--OMG, are you pregnant again? I did not know! When is your due date? How exciting for y'all. How far apart will your kids be? Do you know the sex? Holy toledo, this is big news!

Cora and the boys

Salar de Uyuni Tour

Southeast Bolivia is home to the world´s largest salt flats. This amounts to huge expanses of flat land surrounded by snow capped mountains. Big lakes, super dry deserts, and llamas, alpacas and vicuñas everywhere. As you can see from the photos, there are a few interesting things going on here. First, and most notable, is the huge population of flamingos. There are three different species that summer in Bolivia and winter in Chile and Argentina. But what makes it even more interesting is that the salt flats are roughly 14-15,000 feet above sea level. We are way up here. That makes the hills and mountain surrounding the plains almost 20,000 feet. Mt. Everest is less than 30,000 feet. This is home to flamingos? Yep, lots of em.
