27 Weeks


Three months left to go and the belly is growing quickly now. I'm pretty much in maternity clothes 100% of the time these days. On Saturday, we had an hour long tutorial on various baby carriers and cloth diaper options. Who knew there were so many choices? I swear it could be a full-time job just researching and preparing for this little one. You wouldn't believe the stack of books I have by the bed right now, just waiting for me to find the time. If only I wasn't in the middle of a fantastic novel...

Yeah!! Awesome bump! We have a few days to go - you will be amazed how much the baby grows these last few months and the last few weeks are amazing.

There is a great website called babycenter.com that shows you what the baby looks like each week. Its great.

You coming along so quick, it's nuts! I'm so excited for you and Dave! Also Parenthood.com is a good one too! they both give you great updates and let you "see" the baby! Have fun with those books and good luck with all of them... only 69 days to go.:)

Cora and the boys

Dave's friends, Scotty, Ryan and Danny, have been taking good care of us this week. We're thinking about asking them to move in long-term! Ryan is currently making us a fancy breakfast and Danny is still trying to find us the perfect Subaru Forrester to purchase.

Salar de Uyuni Tour

Southeast Bolivia is home to the world´s largest salt flats. This amounts to huge expanses of flat land surrounded by snow capped mountains. Big lakes, super dry deserts, and llamas, alpacas and vicuñas everywhere. As you can see from the photos, there are a few interesting things going on here. First, and most notable, is the huge population of flamingos. There are three different species that summer in Bolivia and winter in Chile and Argentina. But what makes it even more interesting is that the salt flats are roughly 14-15,000 feet above sea level. We are way up here. That makes the hills and mountain surrounding the plains almost 20,000 feet. Mt. Everest is less than 30,000 feet. This is home to flamingos? Yep, lots of em.
