The Adventures of Dave, Lindsay, Cora and Edie

When my parents moved several years ago, my Mom and I came across several boxes of my old baby clothes. With all the crazy fabrics and bright colors of the 70s, we couldn't resist holding on to a few gems "just in case I had a girl at some point." I decided that today was the perfect day to pull out some oldies but goodies and try them on Cora. I think she pulls off 70s baby clothes pretty well, don't you? My girl looks good in bright yellow! What you can't see is the SWEET orange flower embroidery on the hip of the overalls.

Thank goodness Cora wasn't injured during the accident because this neck and wrist brace never would have fit her! Just another blessing.... :)

Dave's friends, Scotty, Ryan and Danny, have been taking good care of us this week. We're thinking about asking them to move in long-term! Ryan is currently making us a fancy breakfast and Danny is still trying to find us the perfect Subaru Forrester to purchase.

It's hard to believe it's only been 3 1/2 weeks since the accident because some days it feels like soooo much longer. We're starting to put the pieces of our life back together with the support of our amazing family and friends. Dave is feeling better everyday and is starting to gain back some of the weight he lost during this ordeal. We estimate he lost at least 20 pounds, which was not a good look on him! He's in good spirits even though he is still in a good amount of pain and doesn't have a lot of energy. Our friends, Brent and Kori, came down last week to help out and we put them to work taking care of all of us. Dave's friend, Scotty, is in town right now and a few other friends are coming later in the week to help out. Last weekend, we had our first few days alone since the accident and it was nice feeling like things were back to normal but it was also exhausting. I have a whole new respect for single parents! I'm back at work part-time this ...

Just a few photos of our little girl as she gets bigger and bigger. She is such a little sweetheart and has been charming all the doctors and nurses we've come across the last two weeks. She has been our little angel through all of this and makes us smile (and even laugh) in the midst of everything.

Cora is so excited to have her "Da Da" home and she does actually say that, though I'm pretty sure she doesn't understand the association. It's still adorable. Dave can't hold her or lift her but we sometimes just sit her down next to him. It's very sweet! Cora has been our little angel in all of this. So sweet, strong, happy and thankfully, she is too young to remember any of it. This is one of those small blessings.
