'Tis the Season

This weekend, we headed out to one of Oregon's famous Christmas tree farms to get our tree. It was windy and COLD but we were determined. And today, we visited Santa for some photos of Cora's first Christmas. I asked Santa if he could tell me what Cora wants for Christmas and he said...an elephant. Interesting....

Hope you're enjoying the holiday season!

We recently had family photos taken in the Columbia Gorge by a wonderful couple who travel around the world with their two kids taking pictures. I just love how they turned out!

Cora and the boys

Dave's friends, Scotty, Ryan and Danny, have been taking good care of us this week. We're thinking about asking them to move in long-term! Ryan is currently making us a fancy breakfast and Danny is still trying to find us the perfect Subaru Forrester to purchase.

Cora Biedel Nelson

We welcomed Cora at 5:41pm on Saturday, July 18th after 12 hours of labor. Thanks to the help of our wonderful doula, Carissa, we were able to stay at home for the first 6 hours of labor. Our nurses and midwife at Kaiser Sunnyside were wonderful and helped Lindsay get through the labor and delivery drug-free. We came home today and are already lost in the world of poopy diapers, feeding and getting sleep when we can. Oh the thrill of sleep deprivation! We'll be in touch when we get our heads above water.
