Next Adventure....A move to Portland, Oregon

Well, we've spent our first few weeks back in the country trying to avoid reality but it has finally caught up with us. After a few days in Palm Desert for a friend's wedding and a long roadtrip to Idaho and Montana, we are officially living in Oregon now. We're excited to explore a new city (Lindsay hasn't lived here since age 17) and get settled into our lives here. New jobs, a new house (eventually), a new city and Dave is also going back to school. We'll keep you posted on things and definitely let us know if you're in the area. Let the next adventure begin!

We recently had family photos taken in the Columbia Gorge by a wonderful couple who travel around the world with their two kids taking pictures. I just love how they turned out!

Cora and the boys

Dave's friends, Scotty, Ryan and Danny, have been taking good care of us this week. We're thinking about asking them to move in long-term! Ryan is currently making us a fancy breakfast and Danny is still trying to find us the perfect Subaru Forrester to purchase.

Cora Biedel Nelson

We welcomed Cora at 5:41pm on Saturday, July 18th after 12 hours of labor. Thanks to the help of our wonderful doula, Carissa, we were able to stay at home for the first 6 hours of labor. Our nurses and midwife at Kaiser Sunnyside were wonderful and helped Lindsay get through the labor and delivery drug-free. We came home today and are already lost in the world of poopy diapers, feeding and getting sleep when we can. Oh the thrill of sleep deprivation! We'll be in touch when we get our heads above water.
